What it is:
Chardonnay 77%, Pinot noir 17%, Pinot blanc 3%, Erbamat 3%. Aged for 30 months on its lees. From the Lombardy region of Italy.
Why we like it:
Franciacorta is made the same way as Champagne. This is a very enjoyable and complex Sparkling wine. Barone Pizzini's work in the vineyard has produced top tier Franciacorta. Animante was the first Franciacorta to include the indigenous grape variety Erbamat.
