Marquis d'Angerville is credited with helping to create the map of the different Burgundy classifications. Their wines are pure, elegant and highly sought after. This is Aligote which was once widely planted in Burgundy but after Phyloxera Chardonnay was preferred for its larger yields. We are now seeing a resurgence of this forgotten grape as producers like Marquis d'Angerville showcase its beauty. Aligote is more mineral driven and precise than Chardonnay, this wine will definitely benefit from some time in the decanter.
